A fresh update on the future of Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka has emerged on Monday.
Saka, 20, was one of Arsenal’s best players across the 2021/22 campaign and, whilst the Champions League escaped them, the Gunners did secure a 5th-placed Premier League finish at the very least – a huge improvement on their 8th-placed finishes in the previous two campaigns.
Saka, for his part, was instrumental to that, scoring 11 and assisting six in the league whilst also forming a great understanding with Martin Odegaard at the heart of the Gunners’ attack.
But, given his age, talent and the fact that he plays for an Arsenal side no longer at the top of the English game, the north Londoners may have a hard time keeping hold of their young prodigy.
Saka is under contract at the Emirates until 2024, with the Gunners understood to be working on a new deal for the winger.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has provided a Saka contract update on Monday:
“The talks between Arsenal and Bukayo Saka’s camp have been going on since February. Arsenal consider Saka a key player and think his contract extension is like a new signing, it is a priority for this summer,” Romano wrote.
“The top English clubs have been monitoring the situation for some time but the good news for Gunners supporters is that Arsenal is the player’s priority: Saka loves the club and there is a negotiation in progress.
“Honestly, I think it is ideal for Bukayo to stay at Arsenal because the project is very clear, ambitious and with a manager who believes in him.
“In my opinion over the years he could end up being worth even more than €100million: remember that Saka is only 20 years old!”
