Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Manchester United for the transfer of right-back Noussair Mazraoui.
In the past few weeks, Mazraoui has emerged as United’s top target to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is looking increasingly likely to be on his way out of Old Trafford.
A recent report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Wan-Bissaka is one step closer to sealing a transfer to West Ham, with a final agreement between both clubs on the brink of being found.
Wan-Bissaka also has a verbal agreement in place with West Ham, presumably over personal terms. The Englishman’s exit was needed before United could swoop in for Mazraoui.
It’s believed that Mazraoui already accepted United’s offer of a five-year-contract.
David Ornstein has now given an update on the Morocco international and indicated that he is nearing a switch to the Red Devils, where a reunion with Erik ten Hag beckons.
“Bayern have separately accepted a proposal of €15m plus €5m in bonuses from United for full-back Noussair Mazraoui — a proposed transfer which is contingent on fellow 26-year-old Aaron Wan-Bissaka departing the Premier League club.”
“West Ham United have agreed a £15m fee with Manchester United for Wan-Bissaka, while talks over the length of the deal are ongoing.”
“The move is also still subject to Wan-Bissaka finalising his Manchester United termination.”
“A medical at the east London side is pencilled in for Sunday or Monday.”
Mazraoui told Bayern a few days ago that his wish is to join United and now it seems like the defender is about to get his wish.
Last term, the 26-year-old made 19 Bundesliga appearances. In that time, he helped the Bavarian giants keep seven clean sheets.
