West Bromwich Albion have signed Okay Yokuslu for the upcoming seasons. The Turkish footballer, who ended his contract with Celta a few weeks ago, will play in the Championship with the Baggies.
Okay Yokuslu has already found a new home. The Turkish footballer ended his relationship with Celta more than two weeks ago. There was one more year left on the contract but both parties came to the decision that it would be best to part ways .
It was even mentioned that he would play for Getafe , the team in which he had been loaned, but this operation was finally stopped. After a period of uncertainty, his arrival in English football was confirmed.
But not to play in the Premier League. The Turkish international has signed for three seasons with West Bromwich Albion, who currently play in the Championship , the country’s second division.
Two seasons ago he was on loan for half a season with the baggies, playing with them in 16 games.
His new coach Steve Bruce was happy with the deal: “I’m very happy that we were able to secure a player of Okay’s quality. Midfield is an area where I felt we needed more quality, and from what I’ve seen of him , Okay certainly offers that in abundance. I know he is a fan favorite after his first time at the club and I believe he will shine with us again this season .”
