Manchester United’s transfer business this summer is being led by the new trio of Omar Berrada, Dan Ashworth, and Jason Wilcox.
United’s first signing under the new leadership was an attacker, Joshua Zirkzee. However, it appears the club’s hierarchy are keen on addressing the backline more than any other part of Erik ten Hag’s lineup.
The Red Devils have already signed highly-rated Leny Yoro from Lille and remain interested in Jarrad Branthwaite and Matthijs de Ligt.
United have also been linked with the likes of Milos Kerkez and Miguel Gutierrez to strengthen their left-back position. However, this week has started with the club’s hierarchy intensifying their search for a new right-back.
The Peoples Person relayed reports suggesting interest in Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui and AS Monaco’s Vanderson. Later in the day, Sky Sports added Jeremie Frimpong’s name into the mix.

The Bayer Leverkusen right-back was one of the most impressive full-backs in Europe last season, managing a 16-goal contribution in the Bundesliga.
Under Xabi Alonso, Frimpong, who played his youth football at Manchester City, has thrived in an attacking role, spending most of his time in the final third.
Any team signing Frimpong will get an incredible creative outlet. However, his defensive contribution at Leverkusen has been a cause of concern due to his desire to join the attack consistently.
Meanwhile, amid their search for a new right-back, United have reportedly lowered their asking price for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The Englishman has attracted interest from several sides, including West Ham United and Galatasaray.
However, no club has so far shown any real desire to meet the Premier League giants’ asking price for the former Crystal Palace man.
Accordingly, United are now prepared to accept as low as £10 million for the 26-year-old, who in contrast to Frimpong, has impressed with his defending but has left a lot to be desired moving forward during his time in Manchester so far.
