Germany national team manager and former Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann has reportedly received an offer from a Premier League club, even as he continues to be strongly linked with a move to Manchester United.
Nagelsmann is understood to be one of the names under consideration by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS who are preparing for a scenario in which Erik ten Hag will not be in the Old Trafford dugout after the end of the season.
Ten Hag has been unable to build on a very positive and encouraging maiden 2022/23 campaign that saw him guide United to a top-four finish and end the club’s six-year trophy drought to win the Carabao Cup.
This term, the Red Devils have been poor and are set to miss out on Champions League football after 12 top-flight defeats so far. Performances and results have left plenty to be desired and it’s believed that Ratcliffe could bring in a new head coach as he seeks to kickstart his era at the club on a clean slate.
One of the individuals said to be on United’s radar is Nagelsmann.
A previous report covered by The Peoples Person divulged that the 36-year-old is of “increasing interest” to the Red Devils.
It was subsequently relayed that Nagelsmann features very highly on INEOS’ list of potential Ten Hag replacements even though there is a belief it could be difficult to pry him from Germany’s hands in case Die Mannschaft enjoy a good Euro 2024 campaign.
According to SPORT 1 (via The Express), Nagelsmann has been presented with an offer from an unnamed Premier League club.
There is no proof that United are the outfit who have reached out to the former Bayern and RB Leipzig boss.
Newcastle have been mentioned as suitors for Nagelsmann, while Liverpool are also on the hunt for someone who will fill the vacuum left by Jurgen Klopp when he leaves Anfield.
Thomas Tuchel is also poised to step down from his role at the Allianz Arena and Bayern remain open to bringing Nagelsmann back.
Amidst all this, Germany bosses are eager to keep hold of their man even as interest in his services mounts. Director of the Germany national team Rudi Völler said about Nagelsmann, “There will be a decision in the next few weeks.”
“He has a lot of inquiries. It’s no secret that we would like to continue with him, but he has many top clubs to choose from.”
“We hope he stays with us.”

It appears Nagelsmann is spoilt for choice and if United want him, they’ll have to step up their efforts to land him before another team beats them to his signature.
