The summer transfer window is still fresh as a daisy and has almost two months remaining in it. The work Chelsea have done so far is absolutely incredible, and it’s still so early.
If you’d said to me before the window started that we would have the biggest chunk of our outgoing sales done two weeks before we kick a ball for our first pre-season game, I’d have said you were drunk! And yet here we are, the first week of pre-season training lifting off and that chunk of outgoings have all been done.
There are a few stragglers that need tying up, with a couple more deals set to be confirmed this week, but other than that, the work we have done so far is super impressive.

As well as that, Chelsea will also likely still sell Romelu Lukaku (loan with obligation), Pierre Emerick Aubameyang (likely Saudi), Ethan Ampadu, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Hakim Ziyech.
And according to various reports, they also seem to be open to offers for the majority of the rest of the squad remaining including Trevoh Chalobah, Conor Gallagher, and Marc Cucurella.
It was always the plan to move players out first and foremost. Mauricio Pochettino seemingly wanted the squad cleared out as soon as possible.
The next priorities is to sign players of course, with Moises Caicedo having been the priority for weeks now.
Once/if this gets done, Chelsea reportedly have plans to sign in other areas as well including the goalkeeper and the midfield.
There will be other young players arriving as well at the club, with 17-year-old Ishe Samuels-Smith from Everton reportedly close to being done.
Chelsea are working very hard to get things done right, they know the importance of this. But it’s all a balancing act with the new wage structure playing a part and fees being kept on top of.
But the work we have seen get done so far is just incredible. The speed of what they did it in as well is completely applaudable. If they attack the arrivals as they did with the outgoings, then I think we will be just fine this summer!
