Amrabat has for a few weeks now emerged as a key midfield target for Erik ten Hag.
Even after securing the services of Mason Mount from Chelsea. It’s understood that the United boss is still keen to reinforce in the middle of the park.
With Fred looking likely to leave Old Trafford in the coming weeks, Amrabat is widely seen as the Brazilian’s successor.
Ten Hag and the Morocco international worked together before at FC Utrecht in the Netherlands.
The Dutchman has in his time at United, of course, displayed a preference for signing players he is familiar with as in the cases of Lisandro Martinez, Antony and more recently, Andre Onana.
The Peoples Person covered a report which stated that Amrabat was told by Fiorentina that he is no longer part of the project at the Artemio Franchi Stadium and that if a suitable offer arrived he would be let go.
Fiorentina value their star player at a fee in the region of €30m.
Annass’s big revelation strongly suggests that the Serie A giants and the Red Devils have reached an agreement for the player’s switch to the Premier League.
The Moroccan journalist is apparently a highly trusted and reliable source in his native country.
He is also followed on social media by Amrabat’s agent. Certainly, one for United fans to keep a close eye on.
