Manchester United beat league leaders Arsenal 3-1 today, handing Gunners’ boss Mikel Arteta his first loss of the season.
The Red Devils strolled to victory courtesy of a debut goal from Antony and a Marcus Rashford double in the second half.
In yet another defensively sound display, Erik ten Hag’s men outclassed their bitter rivals – a result that now leaves the 20-time English champions in fifth, just three points shy of the top.
Speaking after his team’s heavy defeat, Arteta heaped the blame on match officials.
On Gabriel Martinelli’s disallowed goal, Arteta said, “The referee said it was a really soft decision.”
“We just ask for consistency, today we disallowed the goal again, there is nothing we can, unfortunately, do now.”

Roy Keane seemingly took issue with Arteta’s comments, branding the Arsenal boss a ‘sore loser.’
Keane also lauded United’s players for their heroic display on the day.
On Arteta, the 51-year-old said, “What matters in football is results.”
“It’s [United’s win] another big statement.”
“He’s [Arteta] always blaming officials. Stop making excuses, you lost the game 3-1.”
“Take the plaudits [for the performance], but I’d rather the three points.”

The plaudits tonight will no doubt belong to Ten Hag and his men.
