Oleksandr Zinchenko leaves Manchester City camp ahead of Arsenal move

Manchester City defender Oleksandr Zinchenko has left Manchester City’s pre-season camp as he looks to finalise his move to Arsenal, according to reports.

The Ukrainian defender is set to be reunited with both Gabriel Jesus and Mikel Arteta in the coming days, with the Gunners having agreed a deal to sign the Manchester City man, for a fee of £30m plus a further £2m in easily achievable add-ons, according to the reliable David Ornstein.

Personal terms are thought not to have been a problem, with Zinchenko set to pen a four year deal on the premise of being handed added gametime in north London than he would have received under Pep Guardiola in the upcoming campaign.

And, as per the Athletic, the defender has arrived in Arsenal’s training camp in Orlando on Tuesday to undergo a medical, which will see him complete his move to Arsenal in the coming days.

Technical director Edu also expected to fly in to help tie up £32m deal for #AFC.

    More to come from Arsenal

Zinchenko’s arrival will mark the fourth signing of the summer for Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar, following the signings of Matt Turner, Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira.

He is not expected to be the last either, with Arsenal targetting a winger and a central midfielder, while a left centre-back is a lower priority but a target nonetheless.

Additionally, they have plenty of players still at the club that are unlikely to feature this season, with the likes of Pablo Mari, Lucas Torreira and Hector Bellerin all expected to depart.
