Injuries have struck Manchester United at the worst time of the season with the chance at adding to their Carabao Cup triumph now looking in danger.
Manager Erik ten Hag currently has his top-scorer and his first-choice defensive pair out injured and there are concerns that both centre-backs could have played for the last time this season.

The futures of both club captain Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof are up in the air and the likelihood that both could be moved on in the summer is quite high.
One player who could be brought in as cover is Monaco’s Axel Disasi. According to Football Insider, United are in pole position in the race for the France international.
The Reds have overtaken both their Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea in the race to sign the Frenchman.
Ten Hag has got back glowing reports from the United scouts who have watched him play regularly this season.

Ten Hag is a big fan of positional versatility and Disasi’s record of six goals and four assists in 41 games across all competitions is also quite impressive.
The 25-year-old’s deal with the French side ends in 2025 and he is valued at €25million according to Transfermarkt.
United would do well to secure the Frenchman’s signature considering United’s lack of depth in that position with both Lindelof and Maguire deemed not good enough by the Dutch boss a long time ago.
