Manchester United are willing to listen to offers for Scotland midfielder Scott McTominay, according to reports.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano (via Caughtoffside) says United are ready to move the 26-year-old on in the summer.
Romano says United rebuffed offers for McTominay in January but will look at the situation again at the end of the season.
“Manchester United rejected all January offers for Scott McTominay but this summer they will be discussed again,” he said.
Romano cited Newcastle as a possible destination for the midfielder with Magpies’ boss keen.
“Newcastle United and Eddie Howe really like McTominay,” said Romano.
United are looking to raise funds to add to their summer kitty and McTominay could command a decent fee, should he be sold.
It’s believed Erik ten Hag is looking to add a midfielder to his ranks and still has designs on luring Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong to Manchester.
This would leave McTominay even further down the pecking order at Old Trafford with Casemiro, Fred, Christian Eriksen and loanee Marcel Sabitzer all currently being handed more game time when available.
However, McTominay has proven himself a capable squad player and will feel he can be a real asset to a Premier League side, if given the game time.
The Scot came through the academy at United and was handed his debut by Jose Mourinho at the back end of the 2016/17 season.
Since then, McTominay has featured on 202 occasions for the club, scoring 18 times.
