Juventus have interest in making a permanent move for Jadon Sancho – Man United News And Transfer News

Juventus reportedly want Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho on a permanent deal providing the overall fee and wages are reduced.

Whilst Sancho never truly settled at Old Trafford or truly convinced with his on-field efforts, since his bust up with Erik ten Hag last September, it seems the player’s future will be away from Manchester.

When it was announced last month that the Dutch coach would be continuing as manager next season, Sancho’s departure was all but confirmed.

The winger has reportedly been offered to Premier League rivals and sides like Borussia Dortmund, where he spent the second half of the season on loan, and Barcelona have been linked with a move for him.

The team who seem to be showing the most interest in Sancho is Serie A’s Juventus, as there have been numerous reports over the past month that they are keen to bring in the England international on loan.

The issue though, which is so often the case for Italian sides, is the they cannot and will not pay the €40-50 million price tag that United are asking for.

Nonetheless, La Gazzetta dello Sport provide a more promising update suggesting that Juventus may be more prepared than they were in the past to make a permanent move for Sancho.

It had been reported that Juve would only be keen on a loan for Sancho as they were focusing on fellow United attacker Mason Greenwood but fresh reports suggest that that the former Dortmund player may be the priority target after all.

The Italian outlet gushes over Sancho, labelling him “one of the greatest talents of his generation” and reports that despite the fact he is “not part” of United’s plans, “it will take time and patience, because the negotiation is unlikely to be concluded in a short time.”

The paper goes on to claim that “a stalemate could favour Juventus, because as time passes, United will have to lower their demands, perhaps even opening up to a loan.”

In addition, as Sancho’s wages are too high for the Italian giants to afford, “he would have to lower his demands or Manchester should pay part of the salary. The other way is to try to include Federico Chiesa in the negotiation.” Nonetheless, this suggests an openness to a permanent move that has not been mentioned previously in Italy.

It is an interesting change in priorities as Chiesa has been mentioned in a potential swap deal with Greenwood but the fact they would also consider it for Sancho demonstrates that perhaps he could be the priority target.

Interestingly, Greenwood’s name is thrown in at the end of the article alongside players like Karim Adeyemi and Xavi Simons as back-up plans if the Old Lady cannot strike a deal for Sancho.

In a summer where PSR restrictions seem to be affecting all English clubs, getting a permanent sale for the likes of Sancho or Greenwood would do wonders for the club’s accounts and allow them to go out and spend to bolster the squad even more for the upcoming season.
