I’d not rule out a big marquee signing for Chelsea – Talk Chelsea

We are into the final couple of days of this summer’s transfer window, and there is a real sense that Todd Boehly and co are not done at Chelsea yet.

We expect Wesley Fofana to be confirmed officially soon by the club, and then Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is also expected to arrive. After that? Who knows? But I am absolutely not ruling out a big marquee name arriving and you know why? Because Todd Boehly.

What I mean by that is that I feel he would just love to sign a superstar as a marquee signing to make a statement this week. Someone like Neymar perhaps?

Well, the links are back, and there is no way that I would totally rule this out now as unrealistic as it sounds. This is from a reliable source don’t forget, a very reliable insider…

🚨 Chelsea are working on trying to bring either Wilfried Zaha or Neymar to Stamford Bridge before the deadline as they look to add goals to their attack.

Boehly and Thomas Tuchel would need to be in-sync with any statement signing that does arrive mind, but we know that Tuchel has enjoyed working with Neymar before, so maybe something can be done?

I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up and I am speculating entirely here, but I just get the sense that Boehly would love to make some waves this week in the shape of a big statement signing, perhaps on deadline day to steal all the headlines and announce that Chelsea means business!
