Fulham have announced their third signing of the summer as Manor Solomon has joined the club from Shakhtar Donetsk on a one year loan deal, with the 23-year-old part of the FIFA ruling that allowed Ukrainian players to suspend their contracts as a result of the invasion of Russia.
“Following a FIFA ruling that allows Ukraine-based players – who are not Ukrainian nationals – to suspend their contract, Solomon exercised this option, prior to agreeing terms with Fulham”, the club explained.
“After the suspension of the contract, FIFA issued an updated regulation that states that players in this situation cannot be registered until 1 August 2022. As a result, the Club will be applying for an international transfer certificate for Solomon on that date”, they added.
I’m very happy and excited to have signed for @FulhamFC. It’s a great privilege to be joining the best league in the world and I can’t wait to get started.💪🏻⚽️

Solomon joins Andreas Pereira and Joao Palhinha as new faces at Craven Cottage this summer, and there are plenty more to come.
Three deals to be done
As covered on 101 earlier, Fulham’s pursuit of Arsenal shot-stopper Bernd Leno is set for a successful conclusion, with Arsenal having lowered their demands for the German goalkeeper and now willing to accept the £8m offered by the newly-promoted side.

Meanwhile, a deal for Wolfsberg full-back Kevin Mbabu is awaiting only an announcement, with the Swiss defender making the move to London for a fee of around 5.5m euros having taken his medical over the weekend at Craven Cottage.
And, as per GFFN, the Cottagers are also trying to finalise a deal for West Ham centre-back Issa Diop, though they are yet to match their London rivals’ demands for the Frenchman. So far, Fulham have offered a package worth a total of 17.5m euros, but David Moyes’ side are holding out for a deal worth a total of 21m euros to allow the defender to depart this summer.
