England are seeking their first ever major title on foreign soil while Spain could become European champions for the fourth time in their history when the teams meet in the Uefa Euro 2024 final.
Despite a shaky campaign until their last-minute semi-final victory over the Netherlands, the Three Lions are in their second major tournament final under regularly-maligned manager Gareth Southgate and targeting redemption for their defeat on penalties to Italy in the decider of Euro 2020.
Spain have had a relatively serene path to the final, although they came from behind to beat Georgia in the round of 16 and France in the semi-finals, as well as requiring extra time to knock out Germany in the last eight.
La Roja last won the Euro in 2012 and have a record-breaker among their ranks in Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, who turns 17 on Saturday and became the youngest ever scorer at the finals with a stunning strike to draw his country level in their 2-1 win over Les Bleus.
