Manchester United defender Eric Bailly, who is currently on loan in France with Marseille, has named two stars that blew him away during his time at Old Trafford.
In an interview with L’Equipe, Bailly said, “I knew a lot of great players in Manchester.”
“But if I have to talk about everyone who impressed me, we’re never going to finish this interview!”
“There was incredible talent, both old and young.”
“Someone like Marcus Rashford really blew me away. Anthony Martial too.”
Bailly’s praise of the United duo will bode well for the confidence of both players, considering some of the names the defender has shared a pitch with, such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The two have impressed this season under Erik ten Hag.
Rashford currently has five goals and three assists for the Red Devils in eight appearances across all competitions this season.
Martial has scored three goals and has two assists in four appearances. The Frenchman has been greatly hindered by injuries this season but has still made an impact whenever available.
The 28-year-old in his interview insisted he was trying to take care of his body after years of being riddled with injuries in England.
As per the report, Bailly is the last to leave the training ground as he relishes the opportunity to play in a club where he is guaranteed first-team minutes.
The centre-back describes his newfound situation, which greatly contrasts with his experience at United, as his greatest happiness.
