Manchester United players are willing to support and back Erik ten Hag in whatever way he needs.
According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the club is so invested in the new boss and enabling him to succeed that they will pick him over any player or executive should such a dilemma arise.
The reliable Ornstein also details how the players enjoy the manager’s way of thinking and should they plan to turn on someone, it will not be the Dutch boss.
Ornstein says, “I was being told by people close to the club and the first team that if the players are going to turn on anyone this time, it’s not going to be the manager.”
“They’re going to go above.”
“They’re going to throw executives under the bus – I don’t know.”
“But not Ten Hag.”

Ironically, United fans will be pleased that the players for once are not looking to throw a manager to the wolves even though they would line up executives in Ten Hag’s place.
Since his arrival, the former Ajax coach has undertaken to turn the club’s fortunes around and come up with a recipe for success.
He has been largely successful in building a cohesive unit where everybody knows their place and their role in his plans.
It has however not been smooth sailing, with a few heavy defeats, most notably against Brentford and Manchester City in the derby.
Nevertheless, most supporters will be satisfied with the work done by the 52-year-old so far and will look to the future with renewed optimism of a return to the glory days.
