Premier League outfit Crystal Palace have, on Friday, sealed a deal for a fresh addition to Patrick Vieira’s squad.
The player primed to take his talents to Selhurst Park with a view to the new campaign? Chris Richards.
The last week, of course, had seen links between defender Richards and the Eagles move up a notch. This comes after the powers that be in south London earmarked the 22-year-old as an ideal addition to the club’s central defensive ranks.
Talks over a move, in turn, have long been kicked into gear, with a positive eventual outcome widely predicted.
And, as alluded to above, precisely that has been confirmed on Friday evening.
As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Palace have ‘completed’ Richards’ signing, with the eight-time capped United States international having already carried out his medical with the club.
An official announcement regarding the transfer is therefore expected to be forthcoming at some point over the coming weekend.

Richards’ arrival will mark the 4th addition to Patrick Vieira’s squad to this point in what has proven an altogether productive summer on the part of the transfer team at Selhurst Park.
This comes with the Eagles having already closed deals for all of midfielder Cheick Doucoure, shot-stopper Sam Johnstone, and Derby County sensation Malcolm Ebiowei.
