Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic has responded to reports linking him with an exit from Stamford Bridge.
Since his sensational move to Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund, Pulisic has never got going and with Graham Potter’s arrival has caused him to fall further down the pecking order.
He was linked with a surprise loan move to United in the summer, but that never came to be.
The American was a standout performer for his side in the World Cup, before they were eliminated by the Netherlands in the round of 16.
Speaking on the Indirect Podcast (via The Sun), the 24-year-old finally had his say on a possible move, just months after United expressed interest and with the Red Devils in the hunt for an attack-minded player.
Pulisic said, ‘I mean, right now I’m absolutely back at Chelsea and focused and ready to finish the season. But you know how things work in football.”
“Things change quickly and anything can happen.”
The player finished off by saying, “At the moment I am just pushing myself in training and working at Chelsea because that’s where I am right now.”
Currently in Chelsea’s Cobham training complex after the USA’s World Cup participation, Pulisic’s future is likely to become clearer when club football resumes and when the January transfer window officially opens.
Undoubtedly a talented and impactful player in his day, Pulisic’s progress in the Premier League has been hampered by constantly recurring injuries and a lack of fitness.
All these are considerations United should make before delving into pursuing him.
The Sun also reports that beyond United, Newcastle and Arsenal are also keen on Pulisic.
