People might have different views on this and I understand all angles, but personally for me I can only see it as a good thing that Chelsea’s new owners are searching for new clubs to buy as well as Chelsea.
Chelsea are in talks to buy Portuguese high-flyers Portimonense as part of plans to build a global multi-club project.

We have seen how well this setup works with groups such as Red Bull having Salzburg and Leipzig, and of course, the Manchester City group who own a number of clubs.
With Red Bull we are already seeing the benefits from it with just one example, that is top forward Benjamin Sesko moving from Salzburg to Leipzig in the next summer transfer window, with a deal already being agreed. Sesko is going to be another huge talent that the group are going to benefit from.
At Chelsea it would provide us with the opportunity to loan players out to these extra clubs that the owners have taken on, and make sure that they get vital development minutes and purely go to these clubs to develop and then to come back as a complete player. Todd Boehly has even spoken about this and how important it is to have your loan players playing matches.
More news has been coming out today of Chelsea trying to buy clubs around Europe, and it looks like Portugal is a priority point of call for the Blues owners. I can only see this as a good thing for the future of our football club and I’m excited to see how this develops.
