Chelsea are making a late surge in the summer transfer window, the type of surge that could actually end up seeing them have a 10/10 transfer window.
Concerns have been growing with just how much work we had/have left to do this window, with many players still wanting to leave, and Thomas Tuchel still wanting a few more players to arrive at the club to strengthen the squad.
But recently, Chelsea have been mad busy and ‘things are happening’ as they say. We are starting to hear many more positives on moves such as Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana to Chelsea.
But perhaps more importantly, we are also hearing positive noise on potential outgoing deals that need to happen as well such as Timo Werner, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Malang Sarr.
It was always going to be a case of outgoings for incomings, in order to make space in the squad at least and balance things up. So, it is very encouraging to now see the developments we seem to be making in these last few days.
Of course, it is all about now getting these deals over the line and done, and we are yet to do that at the time of writing. But there is very much some movements in negotiations and we expect some deals to be confirmed very soon now.
If Chelsea can get rid of a few players, and make a few more signings in areas that we need, then this window, the new owners very first, will easily be rated as a 10/10.
