Chelsea join Manchester United, Real Madrid and Liverpool in race for Jude Bellingham – Man United News And Transfer News

Borussia Dortmund appear to have a predicament if they are aiming to hold on to their midfield starlet Jude Bellingham past the summer.

Alongside long-term admirers Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid are said to already be shaping up to begin their transfer pursuits.

Last week it was revealed that Madrid have launched their campaign by flexing their muscles to Bellingham, saying that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to become a ‘young Galactico’.

Bellingham left England in 2020 to join Dortmund for an approximate €30 million fee. Dortmund’s competition at the time? United.

The young Birmingham local and his family felt that it was not the appropriate stage in his career (17 years old at the time) to plunge head first into one of the biggest clubs in the world in the biggest League in the world. Following this season, however, it could be the ideal time for Bellingham to reunite with Jadon Sancho and become a regular at Old Trafford.

Now 19 years old and into his fourth season as a professional footballer, other major suitors are beginning to appear and make their presence known in what will most likely be the transfer race of the summer.

According to German outlet Sportbild, Chelsea have already informed Dortmund of their intention to pursue Bellingham.

The report says that the London-club are willing to pay more than €100 million to acquire the English talent. Chelsea’s figure of intent has already been passed along to the chiefs of the Black and Yellows.

The Athletic revealed that it would take, at the very least, a sum of €100 million to convince Dortmund to enter into negotiations.

In his first summer as Chelsea owner, American businessman Todd Boehly showed to the rest of Europe his fearless – and perhaps somewhat unhinged – approach in the transfer market.

Given the credibility of the local German source and Boehly’s eagerness to spend, it is almost certain that Chelsea will join the Bellingham race as important bidders, and it is probable that they will not be timid in their discussions.

Furthermore, Boehly has made an effort to bring in young and expensive English talents already, examples being Carney Chukwuemeka and Tyler Dibling.

It is only October and two major clubs have already signalled to the world their strong resolutions to sign Bellingham. A long year of this saga lies ahead.
