Manchester United’s difficult season has left Erik ten Hag fighting for his position at Old Trafford.
Ever since INEOS arrival to take control of the sporting structure at the club, rumours have been rife regarding a change in the dugout at the club.
Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel is one of the names heavily linked with taking over should Ten Hag lose his job at the end of the season.
After announcing he would leave his post in Munich in February, Tuchel looked like he would become a free agent in the coming weeks.
However, the former Chelsea coach entered discussions to continue his work in Bavaria which would have constituted a huge turnaround after an unsuccessful season for the Bundesliga giants.
Talks did take place but football expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Tuchel has decided he will definitely be leaving his post at the end of the campaign.

Tuchel spoke to the media before Bayern’s last game of the Bundesliga season at Hoffenheim on Saturday and said it’ll be his last in charge of the German giants.
“This is my last press conference as FC Bayern manager.
“There were talks, but we didn’t reach an agreement… so the decision of February still stands,” Tuchel admitted.
The news leaves Tuchel as the favourite to take over at United in the summer and heaps further pressure on Ten Hag who faces a nervy wait for INEOS to make their decision.
In fairness to Ten Hag, he is carrying himself like a man who believes he will be at the club next season but knows the FA Cup final at the end of the month will go a long way in deciding his immediate future.
United have one Premier League game left before the showpiece occasion and need a win at Brighton to stand any chance of qualifying for European competition through the league table.
Ten Hag’s men are currently sat in eighth place and set for the club’s lowest-ever Premier League finish.
Should Ten Hag mastermind a famous win in the final, it might earn him a stay of execution and would help secure back-to-back trophies for the club, something that hasn’t been achieved since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2013.
